Team Microlit : Please give us a brief about your role at CGHS, Mumbai.

Dr. Alma : I am Dr. Alma Sunil Kujur, Incharge of the pathology department at Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), Mumbai. We have four labs in our organization in Mumbai; these are CGO Polyclinic in Marine Lines, CGHS Wellness Center Koliwada and one center in Ghatkopar and Santacruz.

CGHS was introduced in Mumbai in 1963. I have been serving here as the Pathology Incharge for many years. Our responsibility is to offer the required assistance to patients whenever they need it.

Team Microlit : Tell us more about the laboratory, the instruments used and the experiments conducted.

Dr. Alma : All four labs are well-equipped. We largely provide OPD-based services. We have auto analyzers in one lab at Koliwada and semi-auto analyzers at all four labs. At CGHS, we perform all tests including Haematology, Biochemistry, Serology and Fluid Cytology. The biochemistry panel includes a sugar test, GTT, lipid profile, kidney function test (KFT), liver function test (LFT), Cardiac markers like CK Nac and MB, and so on.

Team Microlit : Let’s talk about the Microlit products that you are using in your laboratory. Is there any particular purpose/chemical with which they are being used?

Dr. Alma : We found out about Microlit products two years ago and we decided to introduce them. Essentially, they are an array of advanced instruments used to detect anomalies. This brought a whole new level of accuracy and precision using bottle-top dispensers. These products are 100% safe and further remove any scope of manual error that might affect end results.

We recently purchased these bottle top dispensers and all ranges of the micropipette for biochemistry. We are looking for an extensive range of products like micropipettes, electronic burettes and micropipette tips to help us perform functions smoothly.

Team Microlit : What were the methods/instruments used for chemicals in the lab before Bottle Top Dispensers and Micropipettes?

Dr. Alma : At CGHS, we use bottle top dispensers to dispense Drabkin’s reagent to estimate haemoglobin and micropipettes for dispensing patient blood samples (serum, plasma, whole blood) and various biochemistry reagents.

Team Microlit : How have Microlit products helped in simplifying routine/recurring procedures?

Dr. Alma : Before trying out the Microlit products, we were heavily dependent on other European & American brands. However, after purchasing one set of pipettes for one lab and using it continuously, we shifted to Microlit products for all our labs and purchased more pipettes. We were completely taken aback by the accuracy, precision and quality these products deliver; hence we recommend these to everyone around us.

We purchased Microlit products for one of our four labs two year ago and after seeing notable results, I decided to purchase more for other labs in Ghatkopar, Koliwada and Santacruz. Plus, what I loved the most about the Microlit is their extremely professional after-sales support. Here, professionals are just a phone call away and are ready to suggest effective solutions within a matter of a few minutes. I believe it’s the best part about Microlit.

Team Microlit : On a rating scale of 5, how would you score Microlit products used in your laboratory?

Dr. Alma : Without a doubt, I would give full stars across the different parameters, be it their products, accuracy, convenience or after-sales services support, which is commendable. Also, I would like to mention that the Microlit pipette is comparatively lightweight, user-friendly, economical, value for money, accurate and precise. It enables us to carry on various activities with confidence.

If I would have to rate all your products on any parameters, there is no doubt; it’s full-stars from our end.

  • Accuracy & Precision: 5/5
  • Convenience/Ease of Use: 5/5
  • Safety: 5/5
  • Chemical Compatibility: 5/5
  • Pricing: 5/5

Team Microlit : Describe your overall experience with Microlit products.

Dr. Alma : Like I mentioned earlier, I was quite satisfied with all the Microlit products and purchases I made from your company. As far as I’ve understood, the Microlit team never compromises their product quality and prioritizes customers’ interest over anything else, as they believe in delivering quality.

One thing that grabbed most of my attention was the after-sales service, where your team contacts the customer and resolves issues in time. Lately, I have experienced this myself, and I was pleased that one of your team members supported me throughout the process and suggested results-driven solutions.

If I talk about accuracy and precision, it’s up to the mark. Before Microlit, I was using other products with which I wasn’t 100% satisfied (due to lack of after sales services); however, once I got in touch with your company, it’s been an easy ride for our organization. I would highly recommend Microlit to anyone looking for quality and precision in the medical field. I would encourage them to purchase the products without any doubt.
